First autumn in Norway 🍁🍂 Highlights include various outdoor adventures, waffles, floating sauna sessions, cuddles with puppy Lilly (❤️) and evening city strolls in the golden autumn light.

I also learned a new word, “døgnvill”, which means to be confused what time of day it is as it gets darker and darker every day ✨ Luckily, the city is already lit up everywhere in the evening, and it’s more than cozy.

Days in the sun, days in the wild, and a very special new family member. It’s not always a walk in the park (pun intended!) but it’s an amazing experience to be responsible for such a tiny, beautiful being, and explore my new home with her. Couldn’t be more grateful.

First month of living in Oslo — an interim conclusion 〰️〰️

When you relocate to a different country, there are a lot of first times. For me, it was the first time buying brown cheese at the supermarket. The first time spending the night camping by a Norwegian lake. And attending my first yoga session in Norwegian.

It feel like I’m settling in a bit: Our apartment in Oslo is taking shape, I‘ve scouted out some nice cafés in the area, and found a yoga studio which I will be a regular guest in. My sleeping pattern is completely messed up due to midnight sun, but I absolutely love the long days here. Life is good.

What I love about the summer in Oslo is the light… we got light (even sunshine) until the late evening hours 🌞🌕

That’s why it’s perfect to go for a hike after work. We packed out backpacks just yesterday and headed out into nature, which conveniently is just a 15 minute ride on the subway from the city center.

You find a spot in the forest or at the lakeside and just set up your tent. Or your hammock, actually. Camping is allowed everywhere in Norway 🏕️

Enjoy the peace and quiet, calm down, re-energize. Make coffee on the stove in the morning, and head back home with a fresh mindset 🧘🏼‍♀️

From Munich to Oslo 🇳🇴 The adventure has started! We‘ve decided to drive all the way from Bavaria to the most northern part of Denmark, then take the ferry to Norway.

Behind us lie way over 1000 kilometers, countless hours of audio books and a city that has been our home for the past five years. I‘m sure we’ll be back, but for now, we‘re looking forward to roaming fjords and forests and make ourselves feel at home in our new city of choice 🌳 🌊⛰️
